9.00 (very good) A lot of people have never seen this anime, which is sad because I thought it was pretty good. I myself just stumbled upon the series, but I liked it. While the second half did seem a bit...weird to me, rushed. The fights I thought were really nice. Though the ending was very sad.

8.25 (good) I usually don't watch sports anime at all, but I decided to give this a try. Watching Kagami and Kuroko interact with eachother is hilarious^^ It's also funny how Kuroko catches everyone off-guard whenever he just appears somewhere because of his low presence. Hyuuga's also very funny to watch when his true colors come out.^^ The steaks in episode 5 looked delicious^^ Kagami's appetite is ridiculous. I'll admit, it was funny, but he really was stuffing his cheeks like a squirrel xD Izuki is also pretty impressive. The second season followed suit as was equally enjoyable for me. The third season is good so far, but the flashbacks in the manga felt like they went on forever xD

Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon

4.00 (below average) The good: The first episode was a nice introduction to some of the characters. In terms of the episode itself, I guess we’ll just have to wait till next week before things really get kicked into gear. But for a first episode, I was not disappointed. The quality of the animation and the art style are so detailed and pretty. In the mean time, Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon doesn’t disappoint. Starting strong with an awesome chase/fight scene paired up with just a hint of what the story is hiding to really make you start drooling for more, I’m excited to follow along and discover what this show has to offer. And the art is pretty. Now onto the bad: I really feel like the cast of characters in Horizon alone is a major factor that kills the series. Because there's just WAY too many characters to give focus on fairly. While it's true a lot of good VA's are in this one; that fact is just completely overshadowed to the point where it doesn't even matter by the sheer numbers of all the people being juggled in to talk about at once. The series is incredibly confusing especially when you listen to one or a few or the numerous characters try to have a conversation. It's like they throw in all these terms and such just to drag out the conversation and by the end of it all you're wondering what the conversation you just heard was really even supposed to about in the first place. I don't even know how they're going to end the series, because as it stands all the episodes out now are just the first season (yes there is like 13 more episodes left in the show), and as confused as I am now I really wonder if they're going to be able to pull off a decent ending let alone one that makes sense. The ending confused me.

4.00 (below average) I liked a lot of the characters in this one, though short for an otome adaption, it ended crappy, they rushed the ending by cutting out some of the fights. The pacing was way off.

6.00 (average) The character design is quirky & I think fits the series overall. Happy this is full-cour. Akko is a bit of a weak spot for the series, since she never actually learned from her mistakes. And Croix kinda came out of nowhere along with her drama. Ursula/Chariot is horrible as a mentor/teacher.

7.25 (above average) The characters look nice. Honoka is quite persistent xD Though it was a bit dramatic seeing her quit (albeit temporarily) wanting to be a school idol because one of them was going to be quitting to pursue something else. She should've just been happy for her friend and along with the other eight members; using the fact that one of her friends wouldn't be a part of their idol group as motivation to push themselves to strive towards being even more successful, instead of just deciding to quit.

3.00 (poor) I was interested in this series since usually the last anime to air for each season is a bit different than everything else being offered. I'll give it a shot to see how the plot unfolds. I think the character designs fits for the series. I like the OP and ED. But it seems like it stagnates after the halfway point.

Maken-Ki

Seen: completely

Last Updated: Sep 20, 2012

6.00 (average) The show reminds me a lot of Freezing, replace the Volt Weapons with Maken and the dimensional invaders with a perverted harem lead and we have Maken-Ki. I knew from the beginning that this series would be full of fanservice. To be quite honest a lot of it that I saw felt forced. I like the character designs. Though I fully expected this to degrade into a slapstick fan-service-filled affair before long (and it certainly did). In addition to the characters, the better than expected visuals and timely comedic moments are the best things Maken-Ki has going for it at the moment. It's fun to watch for kicks (like with most harems). The plot didn't really develop because the series itself was short, but I'll be looking forward to seeing if the second season can rectify this problem.

Maoyuu Maou Yuusha

Last Updated: Oct 21, 2013

7.00 (above average) I think if they focused more on the war between the humans and demons specifically, it would be much better. I think the dialogue is very long-winded. Not as good as I thought it would be, but Maou was pretty. And her relationship with Yuusha was cute and brought some funny moments. Wish Onna Kishi got a bit more attention though.

Mawaru Penguindrum

Seen: completely

Last Updated: Dec 24, 2011

7.25 (above average) Randomly decided to pick up this series. It's pretty good so far. I like the twin brothers Kanba and Shouma. Kanba is the more serious and colder of the twins, and he is willing to go to any lengths for Himari. While Shoma is the more sensitive one and tries to adhere to morals mostly, even when it comes to his sister. What happened with Himari was pretty messed up, the whole situation with her "miracle" seems fishy to me, because saving someone from death seems like something you'd have to pay a pretty heavy price for in the end. Ringo is quite the stalker. The penguins are very funny given that fact that no one else can see them. Though the series does do a good job with confusing it's viewers; mostly because of Sanetoshi cryptic was of speaking about things. So where does that outlook take me? Well for one, it makes it seem like the story has moved beyond the idea that Kanba and Shouma are merely being punished because of their parents’ sins. Instead, it’s almost as if they’re reliving the same “curse” in a different fashion, where their only sin is “sharing the fruit of fate” and continuing to live when they should’ve died. The punishment for “cheating death” would then be Himari’s life, which they’re given false hope about saving to make it even more painful when she eventually dies. Where things get a little dicey is what to make of the boxes and the apple itself. Sanetoshi alluded to the idea that the box is oneself, saying he wishes to free everyone from their “boxes”, so it could very well symbolize the “social prison” that unwanted children find themselves in when they’re left on the streets and starve to death. The apple would then signify their new hope — or light — that gave them the strength to live on. After all, there’s been nothing to suggest that Kanba and Shouma were actually locked into physical cages, because even if they did find an apple to suppress their hunger for a bit, that doesn’t mean that they’re instantly free. As such, I’m inclined to believe the boxes are a figurative thing, as well as “sharing the fruit of fate”. Where I’d probably draw the line on this theory is implying that fate works like some form of “equivalent trade”, even though Ringo looked like she was going to give up her life to improve the Takakuras. Based on what Momoka’s done in the past and what Ringo tried to do here, the need for “compensation” only seems to come into play when someone defies their fate and disrupts the “track” that the world is on. Whether intentional or not, Kanba and Shouma did just that by creating/finding their own Penguindrum — another chance in life that was divided between the two of them. Presumably, that “life” alone wasn’t enough for the two of them and Himari to find any true happiness in the world, so they both decided to give it up for Himari, Ringo, and Masako sakes, which effectively put everyone onto a different “world track” (or line if you prefer) where Kanba and Shouma never existed. The message is clear though — even when the world has abandoned them, unloved children can still find happiness. Well that, and sacrificing oneself for those you love. Kanba and Shouma appear to have been reborn as the two boys from episode one, who talked about how the apple is a reward for those who have chosen love above all else and how it doesn’t mark the end but just the beginning, so it’s a somewhat bittersweet ending.

4.50 (moderate) This was pretty funny.^^ I kinda thought Konoe would be a girl. Kureha was hilarious, with the very intersting way she chose to wake up her brother. Though I thought it was totally weird how he'd he thought it was so awkward to be peeping in on someone using the bathroom, and yet the whole time he wouldn't stop staring and shut the door. Then he tried to play it off like he didn't see anything when it was totally impossible to lie about it. Kinjirou totally got his a** kicked, can't say I blame Subaru. Subaru seems okay cool, though her family situation makes life for her a bit awkward. Subaru and Kanade Suzutsuki I think are pretty. Usami is alright. The show overall was funny but yet cliche but it does jump around too much. And it didn't try to be something it wasn't, though the series as a whole was a bit disappointing.

Last Updated: Apr 25, 2013

8.75 (very good) This should be funny^^ After the second season ended I picked up the manga. Medaka as well as Misogi, Zenkichi and Akune were extremely fun to watch both in the anime and manga. While some say Medaka wasn't good, I thoroughly enjoyed both. The action as well as the comedy. Medaka was definitely my fav female character. I think Misogi and Medaka had a thing for each other; since in the manga he wanted to give her the middle button of his school uniform which from what I read is customarily given to the one you love since it's the button closest to your heart. ^^

Mirai Nikki

Last Updated: Sep 25, 2012

8.00 (good) I kinda liked the idea of the cellphones, though it seemed like bad luck that if the cellphones got destroyed then the users basically died, but then again you have to give some kinda draw back to having a phone that can tell you the future. Though what kind of future it tells you and in what way differs from Diary holder to diary holder; which I expected and is a good thing. It wouldn't be very interesting if they all saw the future in the exct same way, instead they see a future that is specific to the person, how they acted and what they did in their lives. I think they did a great job giving new viewers a clear picture of what’s happening with the story. Mirai Nikki had two cours, unlike the adaptation of a manga almost as good as this one – Deadman Wonderland, which suffered terribly as a result – so it was able to tell the manga’s story with a slightly more relaxed pace. Mirai Nikki is gleefully suspenseful, relentless and trashy, and quite unlike any series we’ve seen in the last few years.

I don't care for Atra at all, so her relationship they attempted to build with Mika meant nothing to me. Mikazuki is one cold-blooded dude, damn xD Sad the Turbines were done the way that they were. But it was so, nice to see Akihiro get revenge for Lafter, pretty satisfying. ^^ Sad that the main characters died though. So fucking glad Iok got what he deserved. And it was nice to see Ride also get revenge for Orga by killing Nobliss. So there are bright sides to the finale.
