Inu x Boku SS

Seen: completely

Last Updated: Jun 22, 2016

5.50 (average) Our heroine is the tiny Shirakiin Ririchiyo, daughter of the noble Shirakiin household and verbally abusive loli extrodinaire. But unlike most characters of that type, Ririchiyo realizes that her words are all just a front, and she hates herself for it. And in a way I can understand why she acts this way; because all that's ever mattered to other people when dealing with her was her family name. That’s why she has come to the Maison de Ayakashi, so she can build up the confidence to interact with people properly. Her plan is silly, but she honestly wants to change, and I find that admirable. It’s just lucky for her that a certain handsome, loyal Miketsukami Soushi arrived a day earlier to become her SS, or her Secret Service agent that waits on her every need. An earnest guy who will do anything for his tiny master. Awww! It’s looking like Miketsukami will be the key towards helping Ririchiyo open up and interact with others. After all, if she can deal with his antics, she should be able to handle anyone. Whether you will enjoy this show will depend on whether you can empathize with Ririchiyo, on whether you can understand the pain of bullying, regret and social anxiety, and whether you too have ever wanted to change yourself for the better. Personally, I can certainly understand these things quite well, having dealt with a couple of them myself, so I feel for Ririchiyo, and want to see her overcome her past. For me this was entertaining show because I was able to get into Ririchiyo’s (very tiny) shoes and really feel for her plight. If you can do that too, you might just find you’ll enjoy Inu x Boku SS as well. Unfortunately the ending felt rushed (while understandable because of Fujiwara-san's passing), it kinda left behind a feeling of meh.

8.00 (good) It's a good show, but I can't stand the fact that there is so much filler. Inuyasha pissed me off about Kikiyou, I really wished he would've gotten over her. He claimed to love Kagome so much but he always ran off and left her to go chase after Kikiyou. Shippo annoyed me. I preferred to watch The Final Act way more. I actually really liked Naraku, it was sad though that all he wanted was to die.

8.00 (good) Must be a bit of a pain to forget people you're not super close with; even if they're your friends, every week. Though they tried to play up the drama a bit more than I would've liked in some places with Hase and Koari, overall the series was nice. The animation style was simple, but it worked for this series. Shougo was a pretty good friend. Being there to listen but also giving harsh advice when it was needed. He even was able to apologize to Saki when he knew that he had messed up and hurt her feelings.

7.25 (above average) The plot seemed very interesting to me, seeing as it involves vampires.^^ I like the character designs. Gekkou seems cool. I like his hair and his sword Spell Error. Andou was kind of irritating. Also Haruka annoyed me as well being the whole overly into the main character, childhood friend. It's a shame Hinata didn't really get to do much. Looking at the series as a whole, there was a lot of potential for it to be a great sci-fi anime with touches of fanservice thrown in amongst all the action. And when it followed this formula, the episodes were remarkably interesting and grabbed my attention to its fullest. That said, there was a lot missing and one too many episodes that were so remarkably boring that I questioned why I was even watching this show. Coming into this after looking for something that was a little different, I’d be lying to myself if didn’t say I wasn’t disappointed with how things progressed. Even with a fondness for the voice actors, hope for the story, and lots of wishing that ZEXECS would come back and turn things around; I’m still sad that this show wasn’t even better than it was. But if you take a second to step back and look at Itsuka Tenma for all that it is, I would hesitate to call it a complete failure. There were a handful of episodes that were great, and if the episodes linking them together had been a little bit better than I think this could have easily rocketed up to one of the favorites of the season. Going off of the final episode, I’m still super interested in finding out what the Tenma have in store for everyone, why they’re so interested in Gekkou and Hinata, and after twelve episodes, they finally talked about the black rabbit. I’ve been dying to know why this show’s title is so strange, but I never thought it was a reference to something about Taito!

10.00 (excellent) Overall I love this series. This show is interesting and has a lot of different elements, the action is also really good. Koko and her entire group are awesome and extremely lovable. Nothing feels out of place in terms of the actions everyone does and it’s just great to watch them and their interactions with each other. The series just mixes its elements of comedy, action, adventure, seriousness and character development so well that they’re able to throw it in anywhere and anytime and yet not have it out of place without disappointing…just amazing.

8.75 (very good) Very cute and funny^^ Yui can be such an airhead and childish xD Ui is very responsible; especially considering she's the younger sister. Mio is just so cute, but is also a big scaredy cat, but tries to keep the group in line. Azusa's cute too^^ Some of the songs I really like as well.^^ I would definitely recommend watching this series if you're looking for something lighthearted and funny. The movie's also good^^

2.50 (poor) The mechs themselves were nice and the two OPs were pretty awesome, though the second one took some warming up to. I thought a second season would help fix some of the problems I had with the first season.

But I was wrong the second season DID NOT HELP too much in the make sense department. Pointless tragedy. The timeskip being left out probably would've done some good. Overall, looking back at this show I could never get behind Haruto as the main character and I definitely couldn't get behind Shouko as the main female interest. I just found her super pathetic throughout both seasons and very flip-floppy in the the second; meaning one minute she's this girl who decided to step up to take on the pressuring and demanding position of being a leader for the good of herself and her fellow schoolmates, the next she's thrown all the intelligence the show builds up for her away and just downright outcasts/leaves to die the person whose been her biggest support. And then after something seems to have happened to him she wants to get all concerned about him and his safety. What makes it worse is Haruto had feelings for her so he just ignores all the crap she does and continues to tow the line as the heroic main character.

So much unexplained and incomplete. So much potential, wasted in place of purely annoying, pathetic melodrama and confusing politics. WTF happened here?

4.00 (below average) Slowly paced. Op sucks. Kuuko is kinda weird in a funny kind of way. Kyohei's voice was a bit high-pitched at certain times and that made him very annoying to watch/listen to, I just couldn't bring myself to like him as a character. It was pretty messed up what happened to their teacher, though some of her troubles she brought on herself; sleeping with a student, that's just bad and she should've known better than to do it, regardless of whatever was going on in her life. Most of the people who live in the village are messed up.

8.00 (good) Never read the manga, but I decided I would give the anime a shot to see how I would like it. Tomoe and Nanami's interactions made the series funny. Tomoe was a bit mean and could be tough on Nanami in the beginning, but he does still look after her and care in his own way. It was nice to see him open up and them both grow to eventually like/care each other. The ending was cute.

Watching the second season.

Kamisama no Memo-chou

9.25 (very good) I like the opening a lot, it's quite catchy. The ending sounds pretty good as well. I like the character designs as well. I figured this would be a good series because I do like mysteries and detective series if they are done correctly. The cases so far are good. I love Alice and Narumi. I’m fairly sure that I saw what you could call a confession of love between Alice and Narumi. While there may not have been any obvious feelings attached to the glorious moment when Narumi finally became Alice’s true assistant, the bond the two share resemble a couple that have already been together for years. No need for all the cutesy lovey-dovey stuff — just the smallest amounts of affection thrown in amongst all the serious hustle and bustle in their line of work. What happened to Ayaka was a bit sad. While being comatose isn’t the best way to be alive, it leaves the door wide open for a deus ex machina situation that will wake her up — something I wouldn’t mind in the slightest after having to watch such a prominent character nearly die in such a petty way. Hakamizaka Shirou, the experienced genetic engineer whose specialty is botany, became the main villain like I assumed. Our lead protagonist, Narumi, who came off as a boring guy who didn’t have a care in the world and somehow turned into this outgoing beast that’s befriended the strangest of people. In the span of twelve episodes, I’m content with how realistic his growth felt. No random power ups, no dumb reasons to change his way of life — just the drive to become a better person to help support all the people around him. While the side characters didn’t have a lot of time spent on revealing just who they are, they still became individual characters who had their own flare. From Soichirou to Renji and Tetsuo to Hitoshi, everyone had their own individual tastes, mannerisms, and effect on Narumi. Plus, you know that the writers are doing a good job whenever a character speaks and you remember their name. In the end, I think Kami-sama no Memo-chou started strong, held up well throughout the season, and ended on a high note. With its easy to understand but compelling mysteries and lots of slice of life moments to bring the audience closer to the characters, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this show to anyone looking for a mystery that doesn’t make you feel stupid when the answer is revealed.

6.00 (average) I watched the dub. It was hilarious! I like Yuichi, but Ayu is seriously annoying and Makoto is a huge freakin brat and a pain in the butt, it's kinda hard for me to form any real smypathy for her past all of her aggrvating tendencies. I mean what she did to the little kitten that she and Yuichi found was insane and so messed up! I mean who the hell drops a kitten off a freakin' bridge?! Akiko is a very kind woman and I like her, but I think she's a bit too kind. So it's nice to see when she does put her foot down. Mai was alright.

5.50 (average) The character design looks pretty good. The CGI used for the battles might be a bit weird though, since it looks really clunky next to the regular animation of the episodes, but I'll just have to get used to that. I'm interested in seeing how the plot is handled & finding out more about the Destroyer Class. I like the OP.

8.00 (good) A friend got me into this anime. I'm also watching this because it's a lengthy series, I wanted to watch something the would last awhile and not be over so quickly. I have three favorite characters: Giotto, G, and Mukuro. I'd like Tsuna more if he were more serious, and acted how he does when he fights all the time. Lambo annoys me to no end. Reborn makes the show funny. Gokudera acts like a groupie, lol. I hope eventually Yamamoto figures out what they're doing isn't all just a game. I wish Chrome acted like she had a backbone more. Haru is annoying. I like all the box animals except for Lambo's. I also really like Daemon Spade for some reason. I'm currently reading the manga. I like the battles in the anime but at times in both the anime and the manga I feel like they sometimes drag on and talk too much.

I would've liked Ayano much more as a heroine if she wasn't so stubborn, mean and kinda bratty, even though sometimes Kazuma is the one who provokes her a lot of the time.

9.00 (very good) I wasn't sure at first, but after saying I'd give it at least three episodes, it kept me coming back and I ended up enjoying the series a lot more than I thought I would. The anime was very unique as far as the plot. There's also nice comedy and good fights as well. Mako is just an awesome friend. Gamagoori x Mako FTW^^ The only real issue I had was the way the anime handled Ryuuko's character development because at times it was really all over the place. But in terms of the action, it was great. Happy that was a full-cour series and I enjoyed it.

I find it kind of nice that Migi wants to co-exist with Shinichi instead of straight up wanting to control or kill him as much as some of the other Parasyte's we meet. It'll be interesting seeing Izumi & Migi's relationship develop over time. Shinichi got pretty badass about halfway into the series, but kinda detached as well.

8.00 (good) Manga 8/10 for me. This manga is very powerful, I was saddened to see it end. Definitely gives you a thorough look at bullying & making amends. It was very nice to see Shouya go from being a bully, experiencing bullying firsthand & then to going so far to make it up to Shouko, just awesome. The story was very emotional, but really well done.

Movie: 5/10 A lot of scenes were rushed or cut all together, so the emotional impact was killed quite a bit.

6.50 (above average) The whole first half of the episode was really messed up. Even though Haruka was a thought to be a complusive liar, there were other ways her mother could've handled that... Her dad was a prick as well, just dumping everything on Kumiko; Haruka's mother. Her grandfather is a really sweet guy though, so there was a bit of a positive. The ability to read minds can definitely have it's disadvantages. But even after a bit of an over dramatic yet still impacting breakdown, it was nice to see the episode take a lighter turn in the the second half. I think having a friend like Manabe will definitely be good for Haruka. I have hopes for this show. This series is also pretty funny so far; mostly because of Manabe. xD
