4.25 (below average) Not sure how well this series will turn out considering the fact that the manga was cancelled and it's going to be 12 episodes long. Pretty meh. And it's getting a second season...

9.75 (excellent) I like the opening, the ending is catchy and lightens the mood of the anime a bit. Ganta is whiny, in both the anime and manga, though it is nice to see in the manga that his attitude has changed and that he's willing to stand up and do what needs to be done. I like Shiro a lot, she's bubbly and a bit childish but I like that about her. I think Senji is just awesome, I love him! I don't think the anime really did him justice though. Toto aka Mockingbird is okay but totally eccentric. I wished the anime followed the manga a bit more closely. The manga is really awesome!! Nagi's voice kinda threw me, but that couldn't be helped since he had his vocal chords taken out. Genkaku's personality was pretty much the same as in the manga, they stayed true to his character. You should totally give both the manga and the anime a try, just know that even though the manga has a dark and gory story it is really good.

9.50 (excellent) This series just caught my attention from the beginning, it's definitely a dark psychological series; which really caught my interest. And it's coming from Madhouse, bonus. ^^ The character design is really and I think suits this series. The OP sounds very catchy after you listen to it a few times. The ED is amazing, very powerful, especially when you listen to the lyrics & think of Decim.

Hope this gets a second season ^^

9.00 (very good) Cute character design, entertaining as well. Seeing the different creatures will be interesting. God I just love this show, one of the best slice-of-life shows with demi-girls I've seen in a long time. Takahashi, is a great character as well as teacher. All the demi girls were just so enjoyable to watch go about their lives; be it on their own, and just interact in the world this show created for us or what was more often the case, with each other. The comedy here also worked pretty well. And not just that, when this series got serious about looking at daily the life/school life for the demis, it did so in a thoughtful way; which I appreciated & enjoyed even more for doing it. I was always entertained by this series, every week, for 12 episodes & never once did I get bored or tired of watching. Which speaks volumes to me. If you have

6.00 (average) Pretty good, considering it was an anime based on a video game made by Capcom. Dante was his usual self, cockiness and all his smart ass comments. I thought Patty was a little bit annoying and irritating at times. Though I do think the anime could've been way better if it was made later, because Madhouse does do a pretty awesome job with their anime and with the amount of action and gore.

5.00 (moderate) Kyouma is just an awesome & badass main character so far ^^ But it's too bad that in this case, your main character can't carry it all. After episode 5 it feels like this show lost it's direction, just started throwing shit at the wall & none of it really stuck...

9.00 (very good) Pretty good. I prefer the manga though. It'd be nice if they made this an anime series; instead of a few OVA's, that followed the manga, I think that would be pretty awesome. Currently reading the manga.

10.00 (excellent) The first anime I ever saw, thanks to Toonami. (Which I think is probably the case for quite a few.) I also watched all of this series in English; until Dragon Ball Super. The very epitome of shounen. It also has such notoriety that even mangakas still to this day pull inspiration from Dragon Ball.

I'm also watching Dragon Ball Super.

8.75 (very good) From the same mangaka that wrote Hellsing; Kouta Hirano. After finding some art for this series & liking it a lot, I wanted to check out the manga and decided to give this a try. The art style really works with this series. It's take on various historical figures is very interesting. While the comedy is the weakest point of this series; as it definitely didn't always hit, the action is where it's at, so if your looking for that, Drifters is definitely worth your time.

5.75 (average) The anime kinda jumps around/pacing is a bit weird, but decent-ish. Really annoyed by how Freya is a major antagonist but she gets almost no spotlight/screen time at all. Just devolves into a harem. Hestia is as annoying as hell. Can't stand her voice and she's basically your standard Tsundere. Hestia and the harem aspect are the absolute weakest points of this series.

9.00 (very good) I enjoyed how different this show was from most anime as far as plot was concerned. My favorite characters were Izaya Orihara; he was mostly smart, calm and calculating. And my other favorite character was Shizuo Heiwajima, his incredible strength was always funny to watch, especially because his monstrous strength always came out when his was extremely angry. Ironically a lot of the funny 'fights' that happened were when both of my fav characters met up, since they can't stand eachother. I'm also watched it dubbed on Adult Swim and I like it alot, I think a lot of the voices were good.

Watched S2 & S3 and there were very tense moments throughout those seasons as well. I like Rokujo!^^ A very entertaining ride.

5.00 (moderate) The character designs and some of the characters personalities remind me of One Piece a bit. I like the different magic abilities in the series. I hope he eventually gets over that. Some of the animations for the characters using their powers gets a bit old to watch. It sucks that Zeref can't control his power. The OVA's are very funny.^^ The soundtracks are really nice.

Over time though, it seems Mashima's writing is becoming more and more lazy & full of plotholes...

7.50 (good) Pretty cool^^ I really hope this will be made into a full length series or at least be given more episodes as an OVA somewhere down the line, because I really enjoyed it and it looks like it could be a really good standalone series. I thought the male version of Saber looked pretty cool. I think Archer and Lancer looked pretty awesome too^^

Fate/Zero

Seen: completely

Last Updated: Jun 25, 2012

8.00 (good) I love the character designs. The one-hour long first episode may have only been a lot of preamble for the prequel to Fate, but I just love how it established everything about the Holy Grail War and the characters themselves. Zouken is a complete creep. While Kiritsugu had a bad attitude and view on things including Saber, I hoped over time that would change a little, so he's not so cold but I enjoyed seeing how Saber’s knightly code of honor clashed with Kiritsugu’s assassin mentality. What happened to Sakura was just wrong. It was pretty touching to see Aoi’s childhood friend Kariya do everything in his power to try and save Sakura from such a fate — like a real father would have — even if it meant sacrificing himself in her place though what he did to Aoi was a bit disturbing. Of the Masters, Kariya is undoubtedly the most selfless participant in the Fourth War, which is why I can’t but to felt slightly compassionate about his situation. All it really took was the sight of his bug-infested body to realize the year of hell he went through to learn magic and become a Master, but knowing that he only has a month to live really emphasized just how big of a sacrifice he made. Production quality by ufotable in this one-hour special is top-notch, I didn't consider Fate/Zero having a “slow start” whatsoever, as it was pretty exciting to see the rest of the Masters summon their Servants at the end, backed by an absolutely epic soundtrack by Kaijura Yuki. The Holy Grail War is completely twisted to begin with, seeing how it paired Uryyu with Caster. The Grail itself could probably be seen as the ultimate antagonist though, since a bloodbath ensues from everyone vying for it.

9.50 (excellent) I've seen this movie a good number of times. I love watching it in both the dub and the original Japanese voices, as I thought both casts sound really good to me. Loved the animation, it was awesome. The CGI is really nice. Everything was pretty smooth. The fights I thought were really good. I wish there was more Kadaj and Sephiroth though, since I think they're both really awesome characters^^ I also wish there was a bit more of Vincent. Some of the music was pretty good as well. I don't really care for Yuffie. I wished Cloud stopped trying to handle everything on his own and relied on his friends more. I also really wished Tifa's fight was a bit longer or it would've been interesting to see her have another battle.

4.75 (moderate) The show having a vampire plot was surprising to me when I first saw info about this show. Though I wish it was a little longer. I thought this show was alright and I liked it to a certain degree, though it could've been a lot better. I think they really could've taken the vampire element, mixed it in with the struggle between the main character and the main female and sort of tried to mix a forbidden/impossible romance and the two between them trying to make it work. It was disappointing to see that they did not.

8.00 (good) Decided to give this show a shot after reading some background information about the series. It seemed interesting and a bit different. It's an pretty entertaining series, despite a slow start, it has a good plot. Nessa is incredibly funny and childish. Barrot is just a creepy, disgusting guy. Can't stand him at all. The ending was cute.

Fuuka (Series)

Last Updated: Mar 28, 2017

3.00 (poor) Pacing way too fast. Sisters only exist for fanservice. Main character acts like a whiny little bitch boy. Fuuka is an unreasonable tsundere because "why not" right? Koyuki is nothing but childhood friend, obligatory "rival", because "why not" right? The character design is okay, but they wasted so much time on flat comedy, played out Tsundere, beta-bitch main character, & everybody else. Everything is just so damn cliche it's downright pitiful. The only decent thing to come out of this series, is the OP song, Climber's High, which is pretty awesome^^

6.50 (above average) That OP and ED are awesome; love vibes from both songs. Nicholas is such a unique character because he's a deaf solider. Worrick is also very likable. It was set up from the beginning to be a gritty, dark series, but the ending was more of a cliffhanger. Unfortunately, once the Hunters made their appearance, things took a turn for the worst.
