10.00 (excellent) I saw commercials for this show as the previous season of anime was wrapping up. I even read a bit of the manga, just the first few chapters before I quit because I didn't really want to spoil too much of the anime. The supermarket job and the subplot of Yui were anime only. In the manga, he simply gets confronted by the bullies as he walks towards the job. I feel the addition of the market and Yui did a lot for Rin as a character, fleshing him out with the struggles of his ineptitude to do things (except being excellent at cooking), and emphasizing how much of an innate good will he possesses. I think the pacing was a bit slow. The series is doing very well in terms of ratings and BD/DVD sales, and the manga is selling well in the US. I am also reading the manga as new chapters come out so I do know that the manga is nowhere near far enough along to support a second season of the anime. So which direction does A-1 choose – an anime-original ending, or perhaps a total “jump break” like Deadman Wonderland with the intent of waiting at least two years and hoping the audience is still there? I'm hoping this show will NOT do an original ending and wait awhile for the manga to get further ahead and then continue, picking up where they left over with a second season. Honestly speaking, I am hoping that the studio will take the FMA route and create an AnE Brotherhood version when the manga ends. So I'm getting the feeling that what's going on now is just filler. Because they don’t seem to be doing any of the character development that happened in the manga. Thus I think they are just creating a filler arc that will end without much actually having changed and them able to continue the story afterwards. I think they are not doing an anime original ending with how things look right now. They are only following the somewhat same character development as the manga, but adding some filler plot that they can end this season. They can then start a new season by following the original plot, but leaving out the character development that they have already done. The omakes are really funny too^^

10.00 (excellent) I enjoy a lot of his films, but by far this is my favorite Miyazaki film, beautiful story with an environmental theme. It brings up a constant struggle that is faced in this world: man vs. nature. The plot gives you something to think about. It also brings to light a lot of things we as humans do to harm nature, how by doing so that we are also harming ourselves, and the consequences all our actions have. As well as how much we can take nature for granted. This is one of the few films that I can watch subbed or dubbed because both casts are awesome. This film also has one of my favorite soundtracks of the Miyazaki films. The score is epic sounding and beautiful.

10.00 (excellent) Hilarious! Definitely one of my faves. Gintoki is awesome. Kagura is so funny, she's like a mini Gintoki and Shinpachi's funny when he gets ticked off. I like Kamui too. Sougo and Hijikata are also pretty funny characters. I also like the fights in this series. I would like to see more of Takasugi. Umibozu is also pretty funny & badass. The series has just an awesome way of combining seriousness, drama and just straight up hilarity. And while it is a comedy show at heart, Gintama has a really nice way of making all of its characters matter.

Greatness returned with the 2015 season \o/
And the greatness returns yet again in 2017 \o/

10.00 (excellent) Overall I love this series. This show is interesting and has a lot of different elements, the action is also really good. Koko and her entire group are awesome and extremely lovable. Nothing feels out of place in terms of the actions everyone does and it’s just great to watch them and their interactions with each other. The series just mixes its elements of comedy, action, adventure, seriousness and character development so well that they’re able to throw it in anywhere and anytime and yet not have it out of place without disappointing…just amazing.

10.00 (excellent) Really nice character design and art style overall. Guts is a complete badass, but his backstory/entire life is tragedy one after another. Even though I feel bad for the stuff that Casca's been through (cuz it got really bad after Griffith became a God Hand), I can't find myself able to like her character; especially while she was a part of the Band of Hawks. I sympathize with her but don't like her. Griffith is an asshole but at the very least he was upfront about what his goals were, that he would do ANYTHING to see them accomplished & stuck to that throughout the series so far.

10.00 (excellent) Pretty good so far. Inaho and Slaine together is a bad-ass team, combat-wise only though. Love the soundtrack so far ^^ But Slaine is way too emotional & quick to jump to conclusions. Keep in mind that both times in his encounters with Inaho, he is always the first one to pull out his gun. He is indeed a walking contradiction. The second season, while I kinda wanted Slaine to die, I think in a more twisted kinda way he got what he deserved.

10.00 (excellent) The first anime I ever saw, thanks to Toonami. (Which I think is probably the case for quite a few.) I also watched all of this series in English; until Dragon Ball Super. The very epitome of shounen. It also has such notoriety that even mangakas still to this day pull inspiration from Dragon Ball.

I'm also watching Dragon Ball Super.

9.75 (excellent) I like the interactions between Victorique and Kazuya Kujo. Even though Victorique can act childlike at times. Including her fondness of sweets and being inwardly jealous when Kazuya spends a lot of time with Avril. Avril is a character I saw coming, since she is there as a rival for Victorique. Even so, I don't really care too much for Avril at all. I enjoy Brian Roscoe a.k.a Leviathan, though I was quite confused when I saw that there were two of them, moreso that they were twins and I did guess that one of the twins would have an somewhat too deep of an attachment to Cordelia due to circumstances early in their life. The Alchemy aspect mae things very interesting. I also really love the ending themes Resuscitated Hope and Unity^^ The battle between Cordelia and the Marquis was pretty good. I didn't expect it. It also made me sad that Cordelia died. Though the Marquis was a really twisted character, didn't like him at all. I thought the ending was so cute^^ I liked that Kujo made it back to Victorique, proving that he stuck to his vow of not allowing them to be separated. Though I didn't think Victorique's hair would turn silver. I thought this was an interesting series that had some cute and funny moments.

9.75 (excellent) This show was very good and a bit different from most shows. Even though it was short anime series, it had such an impact from both music and story for me and more anime should be like this in my opinion. A lot of the music in the series was pretty nice to listen to. I loved 'Ichiban no Takaramono' the original LiSA/Yui version played with Iwasawa. It's sounds sad but it is awesome! The ending was sad, watching everyone graduate, I actually cried. My absolute favorite character was Iwasawa Masami! I grew attached to her as soon as she told her story. It was such a sad thing for me to know that she has to disappear so early in the show. TK was hilarious to me whenever he was around so I wish he got more lines in the show. It also would been nice to see the backstories of all the other characters. Seeing Yuzuru's backstory was sad, especially what happened to his sister Hatsune. Yuri's story was also pretty messed up. I wished Shiina got shown more, I liked her.

9.75 (excellent) I like the opening, the ending is catchy and lightens the mood of the anime a bit. Ganta is whiny, in both the anime and manga, though it is nice to see in the manga that his attitude has changed and that he's willing to stand up and do what needs to be done. I like Shiro a lot, she's bubbly and a bit childish but I like that about her. I think Senji is just awesome, I love him! I don't think the anime really did him justice though. Toto aka Mockingbird is okay but totally eccentric. I wished the anime followed the manga a bit more closely. The manga is really awesome!! Nagi's voice kinda threw me, but that couldn't be helped since he had his vocal chords taken out. Genkaku's personality was pretty much the same as in the manga, they stayed true to his character. You should totally give both the manga and the anime a try, just know that even though the manga has a dark and gory story it is really good.

9.75 (excellent) Had funny moments. Siesta got on my nerves so much. Louise and Saito made a cute couple in my opinion. Louise, Saito and the whole crew are back for one last season, and if this first episode is any indication, it just might be the best one of them all. Now, I’ll admit that I say this despite rather fuzzy memories of the first three seasons. But I do remember the plot was sometimes shoved aside while the ecchi took over. Well, not this time! After a quick reintroduction to the characters, we go straight into the plot. Queen Henrietta wants Louise and the crew to head off to Romalia, the local Italy/Rome expy, and meet up with their leader, Pope Vittorio Serevare. We find out that Tiffania is a void user, and so is the Pope, and that the blond bishie who was first introduced back in ~Futatsuki no Kishi~, Julio, is the Pope’s familiar. We’re also treated to a great fight scene of Saito and Louise versus some mirror thieves that ends with Saito blundering into Tiffania’s familiar summoning ritual. Phew! Fortunately, none of this felt rushed at all. Events flowed naturally from one to the next, making for a really easy to digest episode. Plus, it managed to avoid two pet peeves of mine in regards to fiction. First, none of the characters were idiots. In many shows – and Zero no Tsukaima has been guilty of this before – the author makes characters do stupid things in a transparent attempt to further the plot. Here, while Saito and Louise do get into a rather silly argument, that’s pretty much normal for those two. What’s more, the ploy to Saito and Louise used to beat the tattoed thief was actually quite clever. I’m not going to lie, I cheered when I saw that : ) Secondly, I feel like the plot was not only setup, but it started to move forward. Jacques’ capture was especially surprising to me, though there was also the deal with Tiffania’s summoning ritual that has her going all doki doki when she sees Saito. If I had one complaint about this episode, it would be that last part. From the look of things, Saito probably just became Tiffania’s familiar as well. I mean, Louise yelling “why don’t you just become her [Tiffa's] familiar!” is a dead give away. Still, that’s a minor complaint in the face of an all around excellent first episode. For me, Zero no Tsukaima is one of the shows that really accelerated my love for anime, so I was going to watch this season through to the end no matter what. I’m just glad that it’s looking like this will be a treat rather than a chore. it felt good to see Saito and Louise’s wedding, because whatever your personal feelings are about Louise, it’s been abundantly clear (over this season especially) that the two of them love each other. While I love a good harem show, I hate for them to end forever on an indecisive note. I feel there was much lost potential, but whatever its faults, I enjoyed seeing this series finally come to a close. Also? Saito and Louise going back to Japan so that Saito can introduce her to his parents was really sweet. That little epilogue was my favorite part of the episode, by far.

9.50 (excellent) I don't usually watch shows like this, the title completely through me off. I liked the show and didn't think I would. From hearing the title it wasn't what I was expecting. I'll take a second to quickly comment on the art style during the fighting scenes. While I can honestly say that I’m not a fan of the whole abstract art style of the monsters and how they look too “real” in comparison with the characters, the background art that SHAFT decided to use in the other dimensions look pretty amazing. The battleground where Mami and the witch fought looked amazing – making me think it might be something that could have came straight out of a Dr. Seuss book for adults. Thinking about how Kyubei was conveniently at the site of the accident made me question just how trustworthy the little fur ball is. It didn’t help that he started commenting on how much potential Madoka had to become the strongest Mahou Shoujo. It may have just been me, but every time Kyubei asked Sayaka or Madoka to become a Mahou Shoujo, it almost feels like he is just trying to force the situation — trying to make them become Mahou Shoujo just for the sake of getting them under a contract. Let’s not forget about Kyubei — the white raccoon looking cat hybrid who feels almost evil thing. I can’t help but add a negative connotation to anything he says! After watching him say farewell and apologizing to Madoka and Sayaka for all the trouble he’s put them through, I couldn’t help but think that he had some other hidden agenda. Lo and behold, when the tension between Sayaka and Kyosuke gets near the breaking point, guess who’s sitting on a windowsill when only “a miracle or magic” can fix the situation? He's just so suspcious acting. After watching just how Kyubei turns a normal girl into a Mahou Shoujo, something just felt wrong with the whole process. It might have been the creepy shadow behind Kyubei, or the words he used while talking to Sayaka, but watching him yank out Sayaka’s powers right from her chest just didn’t sit right with me. Maybe because the spot where her powers came out of just happened to be right where one’s soul normally sits? And if ripping the powers out of someone wasn’t bad enough, after hearing Kyouko’s twisted strategy on how to harvest grief seeds, I wasn’t sure what a Mahou Shoujo’s purpose was anymore. Pushing someone into making a wish without telling them about having to give up anything and everything dear to them sounds pretty dirty in my mind. Not only did Kyubei turn from an evil furball into a heartless and methodical one, but watching Madoka actually put some action into her words surprised me. It’s a shame that her new found courage was overshadowed by Sayaka falling to the floor. The revelation of just what a Mahou Shoujo is just blew my mind away. I never expected that the jewel that they carry is actually the embodiment of their mind and soul — which just happens to be the only thing that links their soul and body together. Something about the thought of having my soul extracted from my body just doesn’t sit well with me. Seeing how I’m a normal human being, I would feel a little violated if someone decided to rip my soul out my body. Isn’t your soul the basis of your very existence — the single thing that makes you who you are? Somewhere between forgetting to mention certain facts to playing with Sayaka’s soul, I was ready to rip his head off. At the same time, I was surprised just how convincing the show was when it tried to justify Kyubei’s actions. Homura’s comment how an entire life normally isn’t enough for a miracle keeps echoing through my head. How often do you get a chance to have a wish granted? For such an opportunity, is it worth sacrificing everything? I could understand if he’s some sort of higher being that lacks emotions because his only goal is to save the people of earth — but he’s not. The idea that every single witch that’s been defeated so far was once a Mahou Shoujo just blows my mind away. But even worse is trying to picture just how vicious of a circle he’s created. Create Mahou Shoujos to defeat fallen Mahou Shoujos so that in the end, he can harvest all their grief seeds. Once again, after the proper context is brought in, I can’t help but feel that Kyubei is not completely evil. Sure he’s manipulative, acts like a psychopath, and even eats his previous bodies, but the phrase “We ask you to make a contract, not force you” left a strong impression on me. Such a strong impression that even after listening to him coldly describe the dire situation that the universe is in and his total disregard of human life, I couldn’t really hold it against him. On a moral level, is it right to compare aliens to humans? It’s like comparing superior oranges to apples, at least the superior oranges are giving the apples options. But from a human perspective, yes, I think it’s pretty screwed up. He finally explains their purpose: Mahou Shoujos are created for the sole purpose of being used as energy sources. While conveniently forgetting all the major drawbacks of becoming a Mahou Shoujo and trying to push their hand in his favor, he always offered them a choice. I personally hate the Old Kyubei and all of his cold hearted tactics. But from the point of a rational and emotionless being, I can understand where he’d be coming from. It’s like asking if sacrificing a part of society to save the whole is worth it — is it? As the past eleven episodes have clearly shown, there is a huge drawback to becoming a Mahou Shoujo — you become a witch when you give up hope or run out of power. Effectively skipping death entirely and rampaging around the earth as pissed off as you were when you died until a Mahou Shoujo takes you out of your misery. Looking at this situation as a whole, Madoka’s wish is such an amazingly noble and selfless one. I personally wanted Madoka to somehow become a Mahou Shoujo without falling into Kyubei’s trap. It did feel good to watch how she not only managed to beat him at his own game but changed the rules entirely! Though it was a bit cliche, the ending especially, it makes you think what would you be willing to sacrifice for one wish?

9.50 (excellent) I've seen this movie a good number of times. I love watching it in both the dub and the original Japanese voices, as I thought both casts sound really good to me. Loved the animation, it was awesome. The CGI is really nice. Everything was pretty smooth. The fights I thought were really good. I wish there was more Kadaj and Sephiroth though, since I think they're both really awesome characters^^ I also wish there was a bit more of Vincent. Some of the music was pretty good as well. I don't really care for Yuffie. I wished Cloud stopped trying to handle everything on his own and relied on his friends more. I also really wished Tifa's fight was a bit longer or it would've been interesting to see her have another battle.

Akane was very naive for a bit more than the first half of the series. Reality is harsh but that's how some things are and that's a lesson she'll have to learn and it was to see she was starting to wise up during the second half. How it ended I expected I just wish things went different for Shinya. What ended up happening to Masaomi was sad.

9.50 (excellent) Watched the anime and also reading the manga. The character look pretty good. For a first season they adapted the manga nicely. Yukine does act like a brat with waay too much attitude for the first half of the anime & manga. I mean I get that he's young so some of this immaturity and acting out is to be expected. But he's knowingly doing things that are harming others, mainly Yato. Don't get me wrong Yukine isn't stupid; he just doesn't seem to care. And that attitude made it really hard to be sympathetic with his character. It was really something to see Daikoku going around to different shrines looking for one more Shinki so that he could help Yato.

Though at a certain point in the manga & anime they do turn Yukine's character around; which I'm very happy about. So while it was hard to stand his attitude in the first part of the series, he did get better. God Ch. 19 of the manga...he's definitely not the same selfish, uncaring brat as he was in the beginning.

I'm hoping and thinking that there will be a second season because Nora did mention "father" in the last episode. If that hint is any indication I'll definitely be waiting and looking forward to it. But for now, I enjoyed the anime and am really liking the manga ^^

9.25 (very good) I like the opening a lot, it's quite catchy. The ending sounds pretty good as well. I like the character designs as well. I figured this would be a good series because I do like mysteries and detective series if they are done correctly. The cases so far are good. I love Alice and Narumi. I’m fairly sure that I saw what you could call a confession of love between Alice and Narumi. While there may not have been any obvious feelings attached to the glorious moment when Narumi finally became Alice’s true assistant, the bond the two share resemble a couple that have already been together for years. No need for all the cutesy lovey-dovey stuff — just the smallest amounts of affection thrown in amongst all the serious hustle and bustle in their line of work. What happened to Ayaka was a bit sad. While being comatose isn’t the best way to be alive, it leaves the door wide open for a deus ex machina situation that will wake her up — something I wouldn’t mind in the slightest after having to watch such a prominent character nearly die in such a petty way. Hakamizaka Shirou, the experienced genetic engineer whose specialty is botany, became the main villain like I assumed. Our lead protagonist, Narumi, who came off as a boring guy who didn’t have a care in the world and somehow turned into this outgoing beast that’s befriended the strangest of people. In the span of twelve episodes, I’m content with how realistic his growth felt. No random power ups, no dumb reasons to change his way of life — just the drive to become a better person to help support all the people around him. While the side characters didn’t have a lot of time spent on revealing just who they are, they still became individual characters who had their own flare. From Soichirou to Renji and Tetsuo to Hitoshi, everyone had their own individual tastes, mannerisms, and effect on Narumi. Plus, you know that the writers are doing a good job whenever a character speaks and you remember their name. In the end, I think Kami-sama no Memo-chou started strong, held up well throughout the season, and ended on a high note. With its easy to understand but compelling mysteries and lots of slice of life moments to bring the audience closer to the characters, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this show to anyone looking for a mystery that doesn’t make you feel stupid when the answer is revealed.

9.25 (very good) Sakurasou is a dormitory for problem children, I can totally understand that. Though our entire group of characters are very funny and entertaining to watch, the series also delivers on giving attention to each character in their own way without having them get lost in the mix. This series also delivers on the comedy aspects and by the end, on the romantic side of things as well. A very good ending too. If you're looking for a nice romantic comedy, this would definitely be worth looking into. ^^

9.25 (very good) Really funny. This feels to me like a female version of The Daily Lives of High School Boys, with the main cast being girls instead of boys. Every segment is a perfect combination of randomness & hilarity and I really enjoy it :) The over-the-top animation helps add even more impact to the comedy. ^^

9.00 (very good) I am currently finished watching the show, and I loved it!! I am also reading the manga as it is released. I also plan to buy the full box set(all the episodes in one box set, since there aren't enough episodes in the boxsets they are releasing now for it to seem worth buying to me.) whenever it's released. My favorite characters are Maka, Soul, Death the Kid, since he is very funny and never fails to make me laugh, and Black Star; even though his does act pretty stupid a lot of the time and sometimes says pretty mean things to Maka unnecessarily on some level I like him. I even like Patty because she's so childish. I like Stein because of the way he fights. I give it a 10 because I thought it was nicely done and different from most anime that you see nowadays. Though I do wish the anime followed the manga faithfully instead of changing things around seemingly just to fit with a 'happy' ending and give you a sense of 'finality'. Even though for me there was no such thing in the ending because Medusa isn't even dead yet. With that said, I hope the staff give the manga time to get really far ahead and figure out a way to make a second season and follow the manga this time. On that subject, I think that can be easily done, considering this is the same situation as FMA Brotherhood, and somewhat Darker Than Black. I think it can be done; since it already has been with the aforementioned anime; mainly Brotherhood and others,(can't think of any others right now because Brotherhood is the only anime that I've seen recently that has done this and really stands out in my mind.) and I REALLY REALLY hope this turns out to be the case with Soul Eater and we get to see a second season eventually.

9.00 (very good) I wasn't sure at first, but after saying I'd give it at least three episodes, it kept me coming back and I ended up enjoying the series a lot more than I thought I would. The anime was very unique as far as the plot. There's also nice comedy and good fights as well. Mako is just an awesome friend. Gamagoori x Mako FTW^^ The only real issue I had was the way the anime handled Ryuuko's character development because at times it was really all over the place. But in terms of the action, it was great. Happy that was a full-cour series and I enjoyed it.

9.00 (very good) This movie was such a breath of fresh air. Its been a while since a animated movie had a good ending and this did. I wish we got to see a flash forward to see what happened afterwards but the movie was good nonetheless.

9.00 (very good) Considering I don't really watch Romance anime too much I enjoyed this quite a bit. I enjoyed seeing an anime adaption based off of Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet.

9.00 (very good) I enjoyed how different this show was from most anime as far as plot was concerned. My favorite characters were Izaya Orihara; he was mostly smart, calm and calculating. And my other favorite character was Shizuo Heiwajima, his incredible strength was always funny to watch, especially because his monstrous strength always came out when his was extremely angry. Ironically a lot of the funny 'fights' that happened were when both of my fav characters met up, since they can't stand eachother. I'm also watched it dubbed on Adult Swim and I like it alot, I think a lot of the voices were good.

Watched S2 & S3 and there were very tense moments throughout those seasons as well. I like Rokujo!^^ A very entertaining ride.

9.00 (very good) It's a slice-of-life series which is a genre I don't watch too often. After seeing art and PV's for the show, I thought I would give this show a shot and see how I like it because it seems like it could turn out to be interesting. I actually think the anime itself is very nice looking; the characters designs are quite pretty. I liked the grandmother, but until the third episode she's come off very cold-hearted, but it was amazing to hear her words of encouragement to Jiroumaru but listening to her acknowledge Ohana was just amazing. The differnet attitudes of the characters are nice. Ohana reminds me a lot of myself. Jiro is a complete fool, in a funny way. It was also nice to be able to see a bit of Nako's home life, I'm sure it must be difficult for her, since she's working, going to school, and then having to come home and cook dinner and take care of her three siblings. I know it must be overwhelming to balance all those things and still try to find time for herself, being able to do all that is quite admirable. It's also nice to see Nako speak up a bit more and become more outgoing. Tomoe cracks me up with the things she says and does sometimes. Minchi has a good attitude but she let's her anger over Ohana and Tōru's relationship turn her into a bit of an unlikeable character sometimes, even though her reason is because she likes Tōru as well so she feels like Ohana is stealing him away from her. It was really nice to see that Ko and Ohana confessed their feelings for each other. The ending was bittersweet. This is a show focused on self-discovery. And the hardest thing in the world is probably trying to figure out just what and who you are. The one thing I’m taking away from this show is that even though life is generally crappy and will deal you some pretty crappy cards, it shouldn’t stop you from living it up while you figure out just who you are. With a great cast, and a great team behind it, I think anyone can enjoy this show, I recommend it for anyone to watch and I think anyone can enjoy it; I certainly did.

Also watched the move: Hanasaku Iroha: Home Sweet Home.
